Dear Shailer (et al.):

I have wonderful memories of Kennita: the pension on Irarrázaval in Santigo, your wedding in Tongoy, a visit to Miami (and the Everglades) on the way to a meeting in the Caribbean (1999?), when the both of you were in Seattle and we had dinner together, the 2003 Twisp PC Chile reunion and a number of other PC reunions. Though she was understandably tired some at the Ohio reunion in 2013 she was still her happy and upbeat self, even dancing.

You probably don’t have many good pictures from your wedding – since you had amateurs (Jones & Breiwick) as photographers. I remember that in those days when you took a flash shot the camera made sort of a whining noise as the flash recharged and how the priest would give me a disapproving look when I used the flash and everybody could hear the whining noise the camera made. I do recall the great seafood at your wedding reception.

Kennita was always happy to make empanadas at the reunions and organize people to help with the various aspects of their preparation. I can hardly think of a time when she wasn’t happy and laughing.

We will all have many good memories of Kennita and how she enjoyed life but we will all miss her lively presence.
