Note from Linda Barron: In 2011, we resided in Alaska on Prince of Wales Island. Mike worked in forestry-related employment in Colorado, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. He went to night school at Gonzaga Law school while working full time in Idaho and received his Juris Doctorate. When we moved to Alaska, he used his law education to continue working as an administrator in forestry-related programs. Due to having health problems with seizures, he started a company to be his own boss and we ran a tree-thinning business, hiring crew from El Salvador. Upon retirement, we sold the company and enjoyed travels and visiting family and friends. We always looked back on our Peace Corps experience with fondness and thankfulness. Mike is survived by his wife Linda, now living in Coeur d'Alene, ID, his son Troy and family (wife and 4 granddaughters in Alabama), and daughter Sarah who lives in Idaho.
