Charles Herckis worked on forestry programs involving Irrigation systems design and construction support in Chile and Municipal engineering planning and development support in Costa Rica. He continued in the engineering field after PC, working on civil design and construction of housing, industrial, commercial projects, and municipal engineering and management as well as specialized services to the pipeline industry in the US and many countries in Latin America . Chuck writes: “I remained in Costa Rica for 18 years after completing service, started a family, and contributed to the community. Through PC service, I learned how to successfully practice my profession and expand knowledge base independently.”
