Forrester Macdonald worked in Forestry Programs in Chile involving forest fire control in Celemu and mapping Pino insigne plantations in the Bio Bio area. He did not stay in the forestry field after PC, but had a career in Production Control in medical packaging printing and manufacturing. He is uncertain whether PC service helped his career, but states that: “I was the only employee at our location who could speak Spanish, which was perceived as a plus. Being a PCV gave me good experience in dealing with diverse people to try to achieve positive outcomes. However, these attributes did not really enhance my career in terms of compensation and promotions.”
