Riley Caudill worked on forestry programs in Chile. “I was placed on a government fundo which experimented and distributed grape vines and fruit trees to private fundos. After returning to the US, as a horticultural graduate from N.C. State University I continued working in related fields, in Raleigh, North Carolina, and in Pasadena and Glendale California. I was the 1st Urban Forester of Pasadena. I think one of the most important things of my service was learning Spanish which I was able to use in California at times with my career. But also to better understand Latin culture.”
